Dr Janice Chan
With a strong academic background and vast experience in leading a school's pastoral department, Dr. Janice Chan stands as an exceptional individual. As a mother of four boys, aged 10, 8, 4, and 2, she completely understands the joys and challenges of raising a family.
Alongside her role as a mother, Dr. Chan is a Co-Founder of SALT and serves as the Head of Pastoral Dept at an international school. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Manchester, as well as a Master's degree in Education from the University of Sheffield.
Dr. Chan is also a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and a trained NLP Practitioner. She is well-versed in training methodologies, having completed the Train the Trainer program accredited by HRDF.
With a diverse professional background encompassing roles as a doctor, HR executive, and counsellor, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her endeavors. Dr. Janice Chan is fluent in both English and Malay, enabling her to connect with a broader audience and make a positive impact in her various roles and pursuits.
Michele Lum
Ms. Michele Lum is an accomplished individual with a diverse range of experiences. She has raised two children, a son aged 22 and a daughter who turned 18 this year. Currently, Ms. Lum balances her professional work from home while also caring for her bed-ridden mother.
She attained her degree in Economics from University Malaya and Masters in Business Administration from SEGI University. To further enhance her skills, she has completed courses such as Social Media Marketing Professional and holds a position as a Digital Marketing Associate at Facebook. Additionally, she is a Certified Associate Coach (CAC).
Throughout her professional journey, Ms. Lum has gained valuable experience in multiple industries. She has worked as a Business Analyst in International Banking, held positions in Branch Operations and Marketing at organic food, served as a Kumon Instructor & franchisee, and worked as Head of School at an international school. Currently, Ms. Lum does digital marketing and held the role of Assistant Managing Director at Tutan Entertainment, an events crafting company and also serves as the Chief Executor at SALT Coaching.
In terms of languages, Ms. Michele Lum is fluent in English, Cantonese and could speak moderate Malay and Mandarin. Her multilingual abilities allow her to effectively communicate and connect with diverse individuals and communities, enabling her to make a positive impact in various professional and personal capacities.
Suntharan a/l Muniandy
Mr. Suntharan Muniandy is a beacon of inspiration in the field of education, blending artistic passion with scientific curiosity to ignite young minds. With a Master's in Education from the Open University, he has been an educator for over 23 years. He has taught in international schools, school and then as a private tutor.
Beyond the classroom, Suntharan delves into songwriting and visual arts, making his coaching sessions intellectually stimulating and creatively inspiring. His advocacy for space technology and rocketry education in Malaysia reflects his enthusiasm for the sciences. Collaborating with scientists and educators, he actively promotes space science careers among pre-university students, sparking their interest in reaching for the stars.
Suntharan's coaching style embodies a holistic approach, nurturing innovative thinking, encouraging self-expression, and fostering a deep sense of purpose among his students.
Sunthari Subramaniam
Ms. Sunthari Subramaniam is a dedicated individual in education and counseling. As a caring mother, she has raised two children, a 29-year-old daughter and a 23-year-old son. Ms. Subramaniam's academic journey includes earning a Diploma in Early Childhood, a B.Ed (Counselling) (Hons.) degree with First-Class honors, and went on to obtain a Master of Counselling. Additionally, she has completed the Train the Trainer program accredited by HRDF.
Throughout her career, Ms. Sunthari Subramaniam has held various roles in the field of education and counseling. She has worked as a preschool teacher at Cempaka International School, served as a primary school homeroom teacher, and held the position of Whole School PSHE Teacher. She has also taken on the crucial role of Whole School Counsellor at both Cempaka International School and The International School @ ParkCity. In addition, she has served as a Crisis Support Officer at WAO (Women's Aid Organization) and has been invited as a guest speaker by esteemed organizations such as the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Bernama, and radio shows.
With her strong language skills, Ms. Sunthari Subramaniam is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Tamil. Additionally, she has embarked on learning French. Ms. Subramaniam's dedication, expertise, and passion for education and counseling make her an invaluable asset in her professional endeavors and in positively impacting the lives of others.
Linda Teng
Ms. Linda Teng is a driven individual currently in the final stages of her PHD. Her educational journey started from Malaysia Private School, followed by a Foundation in Science (Psychology) and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Nottingham. Ms. Teng's passion for psychology led her to further her expertise with a DPsychotherapy and Counselling program at the University of Edinburgh.
Ms. Linda Teng has gained valuable experience in diverse roles throughout her professional journey, . She has worked as a Client-Counsellor Support Associate and a Counsellor-Psychotherapist. She has also served as a Graduate Trainee in the Youth Team at New Horizon Youth Centre, a Ride Operator at Morey's Piers Beachfront Water Parks & Resorts, an intern at Focus on the Family Malaysia, an Assistant Teacher at E.nopi Learning Center, and a Telemarketer at Hong Leong Assurance Berhad.
Ms. Teng's language skills are impressive, as she is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay. She has also embarked on learning Korean at Level 1 and possesses conversational abilities in Cantonese, Teochew, and Hokkien. Her multilingual abilities enable her to effectively connect with diverse individuals and communities, expanding her reach as a counselor and researcher.
Tan Sue Faye
Ms. Tan Sue Faye is a dynamic individual currently serving as an HR Manager in a tech startup. Her educational background encompasses South Australian Matriculation at INTI International College and then, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Nottingham. Ms. Tan furthered her expertise in Human Centered System Thinking through IDEOU.
In terms of professional experiences, Ms. Tan has held notable roles such as People Management Vice President for AIESEC in Malaysia, Employee Relations Executive at AirAsia, Programme Coordinator at 1337 Ventures (a Venture Capital Firm), where she mentored and facilitated startup founders, SME business owners, and corporate leaders. Currently, she is an HR Manager at Encore Med Sdn Bhd.
Ms. Tan Sue Faye possesses fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin. Her multilingual abilities enable effective communication and engagement with diverse individuals and communities.
